Slide 1. Nina’s Jewellery. 1. About. PROJECTS. Based in Western Australia, Nina’s Jewellery specialises in luxury fine jewellery and natural Australian diamonds. I photographed and retouched their Rosewood and e-commerce collections, focusing on accurate colour, refined lighting, and elegant tonal balance that highlights craftsmanship and texture. Slide 2. Client. Project. Completed. Nina’s Jewellery. Rosewood Campaign. 2025. This shot was built from over twenty focus-stacked frames to get full sharpness across the ring without losing softness in the background. My goal was to keep the image true to the craftsmanship of the piece — clean, sharp and refined, but still real. In Photoshop I handled reflection cleanup, tonal and colour matching across the full campaign, and kept consistency in warmth and contrast using Curves, Selective Colour and Hue/Sat. Final sharpening was done in Camera Raw and finished with a subtle High-Pass layer to keep the diamonds crisp for web and email use. Retouching applied. Exposure (Curves). Contrast (Curves). Vector path creation. Colour (selective colour). Colour (Hue & Sat.). Sharpening (Cam. Raw). Sharpening (High Pass Filt).

Slide 6. Client. Project. Completed. Nina’s Jewellery. E-commerce May 2025. 2025. This image was built from fifty focus-stacked frames to achieve full sharpness and depth across the ring. Because it was created for e-commerce use, the goal was accuracy so image had to be clean, mostly in focus, consistent, and true to life across every product. In post, I kept the retouching subtle but technical, refining reflections, balancing tone and colour for consistency, and sharpening carefully in Camera Raw and High-Pass for crisp detail. Despite the clean simplicity of the image, shooting on white leaves nowhere to hide, so the goal was to keep it looking effortless while managing a surprisingly detailed retouch behind the scenes. Retouching applied. Exposure (Curves). Contrast (Curves). Vector path creation. Colour (selective colour). Colour (Hue & Sat.). Sharpening (Cam. Raw). Sharpening (High Pass Filt).

Slide 9. Client. Project. Completed. Nina’s Jewellery. May e-commerce. 2025. In May 2025, I photographed numerous white pieces exclusively for Nina’s wholesale business. This final image for the ring “Eleanore” comprised 45 individual images stacked together to achieve full sharpness and depth across the ring. Since it was intended for e-commerce, accuracy was paramount. Therefore, the image needed to be clean, in focus, consistent and true to life for every product. The small starburst on the pink centre stone wasn’t added in post-production but rather captured in camera using a clever technique unique to my style. Retouching applied. Exposure (Curves). Contrast (Curves). Vector path creation. Colour (selective colour). Colour (Hue & Sat.). Sharpening (Cam. Raw). Sharpening (High Pass Filt).

Slide 12. Client. Project. Completed. Nina’s Jewellery. September Campaigns 2025. 2025. This concept drew inspiration from Nina’s “Bubble Bubble” (working title) Signature Bezel set jewellery. The ring was placed in a clear tank of soda water where the effervescence caused small bubbles of carbonation to attach to it. For lighting, two large soft boxes provided ample fill while several small directional lights were carefully positioned. Additionally, a light positioned under the tank added depth. Retouching applied. Exposure (Curves). Contrast (Curves). Vector path creation. Colour (selective colour). Colour (Hue & Sat.). Sharpening (Cam. Raw). Sharpening (High Pass Filt).
